Restoration Services
RSF offers professional conservation and restoration services for a wide range of artworks such as:
The type of intervention depends on the condition of each piece and is subject to a preliminary inspection and assessment in our studio. Photos of the pieces can be sent beforehand to have a first glimpse at the overall piece’s condition, but a thorough inspection and assessment must be done in our studio with the help of the analysis tools and machines from our scientific laboratory in order to define the proper recommended treatment.
The condition report and corresponding treatment proposal detailing the steps of works is then discussed with the owner to make sure the intervention corresponds to his request and expectations before starting the actual work on the pieces.
Photos of the artworks are taken before, during and after the intervention and are included in both the treatment proposal and the restoration reports sent at the end of the treatment to the owner.
All our interventions intend to be seamless, minimal and reversible to ensure the integrity of the artwork and the artist’s original intention as well as the owner’s requirements
Paintings
RSF provides conservation and restoration services for paintings of all sizes, types, period and styles, from Western to Asian style or any other region in the world; traditional, modern or contemporary; on a wide range of supports like canvas, wood, stone, metal… and for all types of paint like oil, acrylic, watercolor. Frames can also be restored if needed. Depending on the piece’s requirements, conservation treatment interventions can include steps such as:
